The honest case for Notion
Plenty of people already keep a personal CRM in Notion, and for good reasons. Notion publishes a free Personal CRM template of its own. You can shape the database however you like, add the fields that matter to your work, link people to projects and meeting pages, and share it with a team. If you already live in Notion, your notes about people sit right next to everything else.
Notion also has AI Meeting Notes, which transcribe a meeting and write a summary. Whether that is included depends on your plan.
Where it tends to break
A Notion CRM is only as good as what you type into it, and typing is the step that gets skipped. You leave a conversation with three things worth remembering, and to keep them you have to open the right page, find or create the person, pick the right fields and write it up. On a busy day, that is the moment the note does not get made.
The structure is also yours to maintain. Two entries for the same person, a field you stopped using, a name spelled two ways: Notion will not notice.
What neoo does instead
neoo takes the typing out of that moment. After a conversation you speak for half a minute, or type if you prefer. It transcribes what you said, works out who you were talking about, and files the facts under each person, place or organisation. When a name could mean two different people, it asks which one you meant and remembers your answer, so the same name is not asked about again. Every fact links back to the recording, so you can always check what you actually said.
It also works when you have no signal: a note recorded offline is kept on your phone and uploaded later.
What neoo does not do
No custom fields, no databases, no linking to projects, no sharing, no teams, no import. It is in beta, and its interface is in English. If flexibility is what you need, Notion is the better tool.
