Beta
neoo is in beta
It works, and it is early. Here is everything worth knowing before you join the waitlist.
Where things stand
neoo’s first testers are using it alongside its founder. Every problem they run into is reported from inside the app and worked through, one report at a time — and the testers see in the app when a report they sent has been fixed.
Who the beta is for
- You meet a lot of people, and what they tell you matters to you — at work or outside it.
- You have tried keeping notes about people — in a notes app, a spreadsheet, Notion — and it never stuck.
- You are willing to use an early product for a few weeks and say what breaks.
- You are fine with an English interface. You can speak German or English.
What works today
Works today
- Speak or type a note, up to five minutes
- German and English, detected automatically
- Recording without signal — it uploads later
- People, places and organisations, with the facts about them
- Family, and whom you know someone through
- An entry for someone without a name, like “Kathi’s father”
- One person, several names — found by any of them
- A question when a name is ambiguous
- Rename an entry, or merge two that are the same
- The recording behind every fact
- Search across people, notes and facts
- Runs in the browser; installs to your iPhone home screen
Not yet
- Reminders
- A map of everyone you know
- Contact import or integrations
- Sharing or teams
- Native apps
- Paid plans — there is nothing to pay
What it costs
Nothing during the beta. There is no payment of any kind, and no way to pay yet.
After the beta the plan is simple: neoo stays free to use, and you pay a fee for what you use. The details — what counts as usage, and what it costs — are not set. When they are, they will be published here.
How you get a place
Join the waitlist with your email address. The beta is small on purpose, so every tester can be looked after properly: we let people in a few at a time, and Marius writes to you himself when there’s a place. We can’t promise a date.
What to expect as a tester
- Things will break. Reporting a problem takes a few seconds from inside the app.
- Features change quickly — sometimes because of what you reported.
- It is an early product. Don’t make it the only place you keep something important.
Frequently asked questions
When will I get a place?
We can’t give a date. We let people in a few at a time, in the order that makes sense for testing.
What does neoo cost?
Nothing during the beta, and there is no way to pay yet. Afterwards the plan is that neoo stays free to use and you pay a fee for usage. The details are not set.
Which languages does neoo understand?
You can speak German or English, and the language is detected automatically. The app interface is in English.
